44 Rotary Clubs across the district came together to pack 55 thousand meals in Rise Against Hunger Mealpacks, with 35,000 packed at Bolton on the 14th April 2018 and 20,000 at the satellite event in Wilmslow on the 15th April 2018.
A number of willing volunteers from Poynton & District Rotary helped out at Wilmslow. Over 100 members of the Rotary Clubs of the High Peak area and friends came together on Sunday 15th April to pack 20,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger. The events also involved local schoolchildren, and members of local groups, plus members from Roundtable and Rotaract.
The event, which provided fun and fellowship with a purpose was led by Eric and Irene Russell and the local organisers were members of Wilmslow Dean Rotary.
More mealpack events are planned.
