Poynton Rotary plant crocuses every year to help funding the fight against Polio

For over 70 years, Rotary International have been intent on trying to eradicate Polio in every country of the world. Funds are donated by Rotary Clubs, purple crocuses purchased and planted to help funding. Now it is only considered a minor disease in two countries., Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Poynton Rotary plant crocuses every year and tremendous displays can be seen at Springtime in St. George’s Churchyard, primary schools and grass verges around the village.
